officially i can feel old(er) now... we now have a six year old who just completed his first day of first grade. he's our oldest so this is a first of firsts for all of us. so far, so good =) i'm so proud of our little big guy. he's smart, kind hearted and excited about being at school- hard to ask for more as a parent than that.

evan, i hope one day you look back at this picture and see where it all started- your enthusiasm, the complete lack of fear at starting in a new class, your little sister norah looking up to you and so happy for you. these moments, these seemingly little things are what will define who you are. stay true to God, yourself and love your family. this is the first day of the rest of your life.
